Message from the Director

The decision to attend law school can, oftentimes, feel overwhelming – where do I apply, how do I study for the LSAT, what major should I pick, how should I get involved on campus? The list of questions and decisions to make can go on and on. Whether you are a freshman debating the path to law school, a senior who only recently discovered an interest in pursuing a legal career, or somewhere in between, our knowledgeable team at the Pre-Law Advising Center is here to help guide you along your journey to law school.

The Pre-Law Advising Center offers a plethora of opportunities to help you prepare – one-on-one advising sessions, lunch n’ learns, externship opportunities, advocacy teams, an LSAT preparation course, law school informational sessions, student organizations, volunteer opportunities, and more. If you are visiting our website and reading this message, you can check off the first box of your law school process checklist. From here, I encourage you to get involved.

Sign up for our monthly newsletter, The CometBrief, as it’s the best way to stay up-to-date on what is happening both in and out of our Center. Schedule a session with one of our advisors, join the fabulous student organizations, and start attending events. You never know what helpful piece of information you will learn or who you may meet that may inspire you on your path to becoming an attorney.

Again, we understand the decision to attend law school may feel arduous, but our team understands. So, welcome to step one of this process. We are excited to help guide you through the rest of your journey and hopefully, provide you with some wonderful memories and experiences here at UTD along the way.
